Join us during the day for the self guided tour through part of the breeding colony and see how the penguins spend their days on land and then join us for the evening viewing at dusk to see the penguins that have spent their day at sea return home.

Join us on the ultimate penguin tour. A guided tour through the entire colony with a guide to explain the life of a penguin and the history of the colony. Then join us for the evening viewing to see the penguins return from a day spent at sea.

Whitestone Cheese – Look directly into open cheese vats and maturing rooms from the viewing gallery. Gold Pass includes viewing area and cheese platter with coffee.
Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony – view these birds returning from their day at sea.
Totara Estate – View an historic farm where New Zealand’s meat export industry began. Gold Pass includes billy tea and scones.
